On August 7, 1972, after serving four years in the US Navy, I started working for Domino Sugar. I was born in Brooklyn Hospital and grew up in Park Slope. I attended St. Saviour's grammar school and Bishop Ford high school and graduated in 1967 with an academic diploma. At the age of seventeen my family moved to Ridgewood. In 1997 I moved to Maspeth, where I presently reside. I now work for NY Transit Authority in the West Farms (Bronx) Bus Depot as a Storekeeper. During my tenure at Domino, I worked in the Utility Department, the Press Department (where the sugar is filtered), the Shipping Department, the Specialty Department (where specialty types of sugar are processed), the Raw Sugar Department, and finally the Storeroom.

I worked at Domino from June 12, 1984 to January 2004. Whenever I was done with my work for the day, I wrote: "Robert was here but now he's gone, I left my work to carry on."
